Le Jardin
A very anticipated cocktail by our friends. We love this drink inspired by The Port of Call in Mystic, CT. We enjoyed cocktails there last summer, and it was a goal of ours to figure out how to recreate this delicious wonder. Featuring earthtones and spice, tequila, and racilla, it is a very well balanced drink that will stick out in your mind with its unique flavors. Check out yesterday’s posts for the recipes for the Greenhouse Cordial and Pineapple Fluff. We hope you love this one!
Ingredients:
1 oz Tequila
1 oz Racilla
2 oz Pineapple Fluff
2 oz Greenhouse Cordial
Fresh Mint
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice
Shake 15-20 seconds
Poor in a rocks glass over ice
Garnish with Fresh Mint
Sip & Enjoy!
To Make the Greenhouse Cordial:
This is an earthy and spicy combination of ingredients that we are using in our drink this week. It can also be used in other spicy, tequila based drinks. It’s easy to put together and works really well with our pineapple fluff.
Ingredients:
2 oz Almond Orgeat Syrup
2 oz Agave
2 oz Lime Juice
2-3 Fresh Thai Green Chilis
Bunch Fresh Cilantro
Brunch Fresh Mint
2-3 Slices Fresh Jalepeño
Directions:
Add All ingredients to a blender
Blend until well mixed
Strain Through sieve
Then you have the Greenhouse Cordial
To make the Pineapple Fluff, put fresh pineapple (or canned if you are in a jam) into a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy and then strain it to remove a delicious and smooth pineapple fluff from any pith in the pineapple. This is a delicious substance to stir up to use in cocktails!
